The Africa Insight is a non-profit media organisation that provides overviews and analysis of security developments in the region. Publishing weekly updates, alongside country and issue-specific articles, The Africa Insight aims to keep you up-to-date with the latest developments and trends.

Our Team

Charlie Werb is an analyst and commentator focused on the Sub-Saharan Africa region, with a particular interest in the Sahel, jihadi extremist terrorism, and conflict. Charlie serves as the team editor and contributes articles on an array of security issues in the region.

Olly Werb is a final-year student at University College London. He is currently writing his dissertation on locally-led development in West Africa, having recently travelled to Ghana to conduct field research. Olly writes The Weekly Sub-Saharan Security Review.
